Children, adolescents, men and women, watched the demolition of some towers in the neighborhood called Aleixo, in Oporto, known as one of the biggest drug market in the city, with consternation. Between insults to the city mayor, at the time, Rui Rio, responsible for the new project, a luxury apartment complex, some of the spectators tried to stop the towers implosion. Each one of the 5 towers had 13 floors, 64 apartments, making a total of 320 houses, where in 2008 lived 960 persons and where is estimated that used to live 1300.
